L.A Stars - Leadership and Advocacy Group
Stars is a Leadership and Advocacy Program designed for young people with additional support needs. The group empowers young people to know that they can make a difference both in their personal lives and within their community.
This program is specifically for Youth with a Disability aged 15 - 28 years and is a great program to develop leadership skills and to take control of their future.
After School Programs
A fun and exciting centre based program for children aged between 6-16 years with additional support needs.
We support participants to gain confidence, develop friendships and overcome anxieties, through facing new challenges. Participants will reach new potential and gain a broad range of experiences and skills to use throughout their life.
The program has an emphasis on building social, independent and life skills by providing the participants with various opportunities to grow and develop skills through specifically programmed activities.
WRAP Basketball Competition
A fun and energetic basketball competition for players with additional needs. This program is an excellent opportunity to create team building and leadership skills with an emphasis on physical health and development. This competition is a great way to improve core strength and general fitness in a fun way.
When: Saturdays, fortnightly (March- December) 1.00pm – 4.00pm
Where: Thomastown Recreation and Aquatic Centre (TRAC)
Cost: Registration and Fees apply
