Work Readiness Program
The Work Readiness Program began as an extracurricular activity for young women at Epping Secondary College who were looking to about to start looking for a part-time job. The program offers young people the chance to gain work experience and training while raising money for YMCA Whittlesea Open Doors. Over a 10 week period Work Readiness Program participants plan, run and evaluate their own fundraising event. Past events have included fundraising BBQ's, Primary School Discos and a Tie-Dye T-shirt makes Social Enterprise.
Tomorrow's Future Leaders
Tomorrows Future Leaders program is a partnership between YMCA Whittlesea,
Lalor North Secondary College and other local primary schools. The program helps
to prepare grade 5 and year 10 students for leaderships roles within their
schools. The program runs for 8 weeks and consists of fun, interactive sessions
which cover leadership, teamwork and personal development.
